Valenta Pharm launches a new generation antioxidant
Ethoxidol® – is a new original second generation1 antioxidant for treatment of chronic ischemia of brain (cerebrovascular failure) introduced Valenta Pharm.
Ethoxidol® (Ethylmethylhydroxypyridine malate) works comprehensively and it provides extra energy neurons. Moreover, the preparation restores own antioxidant system of cell and improves cells of brain tolerance to the ischemia conditions.
Cerebrovascular diseases – is one of the main causes of morbidity, death and disability in Russia. Every year in our country are registered 400 000-450 000 strokes of which 200 000 are fatal cases. And 80% survivors remain disabled of varying severity2. Cerebrovascular accident is a result of chronic permanent ischemic changes in brain.
Alexey Rogov, Head of business unit "Diseases of the nervous system and musculoskeletal system" of Valenta Pharm: “Existing antioxidants operating under conditions of ischemia acute (for a stroke for example) at a time of process slow growth can’t unlock own effect. An additional mechanism of an organism adaptation in ischemia slow has inaugurated recently - in the 1990s about. This discovery has led to new medicines development. Ethoxidol® – is a second generation antioxidant for treatment of chronic ischemia of brain. The unique mechanism of Ethoxidol® is the distribution of energy inside brain cells and stimulation own antioxidant system of organism. Therefore, we believe that of applications of Ethoxidol® will enable the doctors to deal with ischemia acute chronic diseases and will prevent of acute vascular disasters”.
In Russian pharmacy Ethoxidol® presented in the chewable tablets (in a dosage of 100 mg. No20, No 150) and in the injection solutions (in a dosage of 50 mg. No.10 in 2ml and 5 ml).
