Valenta Will Present on the Russian Market a New Form of Ingavirin® to Treat Children for Flu and ARVI

On October 20, 2015, Valenta will organize theoretical and practical symposium «The Change of Flu Therapy Paradigm. New Developments in Domestic Pediatrics» devoted to introduction of Ingavirin^® 60 mg new form to the Russian pharmaceutical market — the medicine is applied to treat children over the age of 7 for flu and ARVI. The event will take place within the XIV Russian Congress «Innovative Technologies in Pediatrics and Pediatric Surgery».

The leading experts in the field of pediatrics will chair the symposium: N.A. Geppe, D.M.Sci., Professor, Honored Doctor of the Russian Federation, Head of the Department of Children’s Diseases, Director of UCCH at Sechenov MSMU, and Y.L.Mizernitsky, D.M.Sci., Professor, Head of the Department of Chronic Inflammatory Diseases of Moscow Research Institute of Pediatrics and Pediatric Surgery at the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation.

At the symposium, Prof. Geppe will present the results of randomized double blind placebo control multicenter trial of clinical efficiency and safety of Ingavirin^® used in daily dosage of 60 mg for treatment of children of the age of 7 to 12 for flu and ARVI. A.Y.Yegorov, D.M.Sci., Professor at the University of Natural Resources and Natural Sciences (Vienna, Austria), will present the review of scientific research of molecular mechanism of action of modern antiviral medicines, including Ingavirin^® with its unique mechanism of action. E.Y. Radzig, D.M.Sci., Professor at the Department of Otorhinolaryngology of Pediatrics Faculty of Pirogov SBEI HPE RNRMU, will conclude the symposium and speak about possible ARVI complications for otorhinolaryngological organs, emphasizing the urgency of timely treatment of children for viral diseases. More than 250 pediatricians from various regions of Russia are expected to attend the symposium devoted to the launch of Ingavirin^® new form.
